Saigon Restaurant in west Omaha offers a straightforward, welcoming spot for those craving authentic Vietnamese flavors without fuss. This full-service restaurant balances homestyle comfort with attentive service, making it a comfortable choice whether you’re dropping in for a solo lunch or a casual dinner with friends or family.

The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with friendly staff who are ready to guide newcomers through a menu that covers familiar Vietnamese staples alongside some satisfying specialties. It’s the kind of place where you can expect quick seating and prompt service, even during busier times, which suits locals popping in after work or families settling in for a laid-back meal.

Saigon shines with its pho offerings—especially notable are the large beef pho combo and chicken pho, praised for balanced herbs and tender, well-prepared meat, avoiding the overpowering flavors or dryness found at some other spots. The fresh spring rolls with shrimp and pork stand out as a light, flavorful starter, while dishes like crab rangoon and sesame chicken appeal to those who enjoy a crispy, rich element to their meal. For those wanting heartier plates, options like pork clay pot, grilled lemongrass chicken, and Vietnamese beef stew offer warmth and depth in every bite.

Vegetarian diners will find genuinely satisfying choices here, with tofu dishes that deliver crispy texture and thoughtful seasoning—reflecting a kitchen attentive to different dietary needs. The menu also taps into local tastes with dishes like Korean wings and pineapple fried rice, broadening the appeal without straying far from Vietnamese culinary roots.

People drawn to Saigon generally appreciate a no-frills dining environment where the food speaks clearly for itself. It works well for anyone looking for a dependable neighborhood spot that combines the comforting familiarity of pho with some interesting, flavorful side dishes. Given its location and steady flow, peak times like weekend dinners or weekday evenings are best for experiencing a lively but still easygoing energy.

Overall, Saigon Restaurant stands as a practical choice for Omaha diners who want authentic Vietnamese dishes with attentive service and a warm, casual setting where the focus remains on straightforward, well-executed food.

One of our new favorite places! Its been very hard for me to find a pho that I like and saigon is the very first place that I had my husband trade me meals cause I was just shocked that I could finally be able to eat it and not make a face. Other places the herbs come in too strong or the meat is overcooked. It's been a struggle!! We have stopped by almost 5 times since and we've always had such a lovely experience and the food is always been amazing. Chicken curry Quang soup Pad thai Lemongrass chicken Galbi Just some of the dishes we have tried. Highly recommend!!

"Saigon Restaurant is easily one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Omaha. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious, with a wonderful taste that shows how fresh everything is. I especially love the chicken salad, which is one of my favorite dishes. You won't find a better Vietnamese coffee anywhere else in Omaha—it's truly a must-try. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality you get. Plus, they have great parking, which makes every visit stress-free. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food and an excellent dining experience."

Very friendly staff - greeted and sat quickly, answered questions about menu items, drinks and food arrived quickly, refills given. Food was delicious - crab rangoon had a creamy interior and crispy exterior, pan fried delight was a large portion (took some home) and I enjoyed the vegetable mix, sesame chicken had large, chunks of juicy chicken. I would order each item again and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone. A clean, cute place to dine in for date night!

we recently tried this Vietnamese restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was not only delicious but also served with impeccable service. One of the highlights was the extensive vegetarian menu, and I was thrilled to find such diverse options. The Tofu dishes, in particular, were a standout. The Tofu was perfectly cooked, resulting in a delightful crispy texture that added a wonderful contrast to the flavors. The taste of the dishes was incredibly balanced, with just the right blend of savory, sweet, and spicy elements that Vietnamese cuisine is known for. What truly set this restaurant apart, though, was the excellent service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making dining here a pleasure. The restaurant's cleanliness also left a lasting impression, ensuring a hygienic and comfortable atmosphere

This place was AMAZING! The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff was super friendly. We got the beef pho, the "my tho," and the lemongrass beef bahn mi. The title of "best Vietnamese cuisine" is entirely true, I am just sad that this was only able to be a road trip stop and not a restaurant to visit regularly. Overall, 5/5 stars, would 100% visit again if im passing through.
